A weak device, or IPL instead of a laser
A sign saying “laser hair removal” doesn't always mean a laser. Sometimes it's an IPL lamp or a device with too little power. A weak pulse only puts the follicle to sleep instead of destroying it. A sleeping follicle wakes up — and the hair comes back.
Power too low
Even a good laser on overly cautious settings gives a weak result. Sometimes the power stays low for the whole course, “just to be safe”. Diana sets it separately for every area and raises it from session to session.
Sessions too often
If you come in before the next wave of hair has grown, the laser has nothing to hit — and you still pay for the visit. The same 4-week gap for the whole course, whatever the area, is a warning sign. With us the gaps get longer after every session.
Breaks, waxing, tweezers
The laser works on hair in waves. A long break mid-course, or waxing, an epilator or tweezers between sessions, takes its target away. Don't worry — a break doesn't ruin the course. Diana will see how much hair is left and set a new rhythm.
Blonde, red or grey hair
The laser targets the pigment in the hair. Blonde and light brown hair with pigment we remove with good results. Grey, white and red hair, and vellus, the laser won't catch — we'll tell you straight away, before you pay.
Hormones
PCOS, thyroid issues, hormonal pills, pregnancy — hormones can wake up new follicles. A hair the laser has destroyed doesn't come back, but new ones start growing next to it. If that's what we see, Diana will tell you plainly and suggest getting your hormones checked by a doctor.

Does hair grow back after laser hair removal?
Between sessions — yes, and that's normal: each time the laser hits the next wave of hair. After every session less hair grows back, and it's finer and slower. A hair the laser has destroyed doesn't come back.
Why isn't laser hair removal working on me?
Usually for one of six reasons: a weak device or IPL, power too low, sessions too often, breaks or waxing between sessions, hair without pigment, or hormones. At a free consultation Diana will work out which one applies to you.
I've had a few sessions at another studio. Do I start from zero?
We plan from what we see today. Diana checks how much hair is left and how it's growing. If new hair has already grown back across the whole area, we start right away, no waiting. Only sessions done with us count towards the guarantee.
How many sessions will I need?
A full course is usually 6–8 sessions, with longer gaps each time. Exactly how many in your case depends on how much hair is left. Diana will tell you at the consultation, before you buy anything.
How will I know the laser is working this time?
By the shedding. For 7–21 days after a session the skin pushes out the hairs the laser has damaged — that isn't regrowth. Many people see the first difference after their very first session.
I have light hair. Is it worth it?
Blonde and light brown with pigment — yes, we remove it with good results. Grey, white, red and vellus — no, and we'll tell you straight away. Not sure? Do a test and watch the shedding for 2–4 weeks.
What if hormones are the cause?
The laser destroys hair that is already growing, but it can't switch off the hormones that wake up new follicles. If that's what we see, for example with PCOS, we say so plainly and suggest seeing a doctor. New hairs we then catch at maintenance sessions.
Diode or alexandrite laser — which is better?
Both are medical lasers. What decides the result isn't the name but the power, the right settings and the rhythm of visits. The MeDioStar Monolith is one of the best diode lasers in the world: two wavelengths at once and the world's largest XL handpiece, 10 cm².
Can you work out what I was treated with?
Yes. Send Diana a photo of the handpiece, the device name or the package card from your previous studio on WhatsApp — she'll tell you whether it was a diode laser or IPL and what may have gone wrong. It's free.
Will you tell me what my previous studio did wrong?
We don't judge other studios — we didn't see those sessions. We look at your skin and hair today and tell you what we'll do so it works this time.
How much is the consultation?
0 zł. It takes 15–20 minutes, Diana runs it, and a laser test on the area you choose is included. The consultation comes with no obligation.
Can I have my first session straight after the consultation?
Yes, if the area is shaved, there are no contraindications and there's time in the schedule. With light hair it's better to do a test first and watch the shedding for 2–4 weeks.
Do I have to buy a package straight away?
No. Start with one session and take a package once you see the effect. The 4+1 and 6+2 packages work for any area and any combination, and you can pay for a package in two instalments.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If after 3 sessions on one area there's no noticeable difference in the amount, density or regrowth rate of the hair, we refund those 3 sessions. We judge the result at peak smoothness, about 3 weeks after a session — not on the day of your visit, when the next batch is growing in. The condition: a START photo in the studio and your photos of the area about 3 weeks after each session — fully confidential, used only to compare the result. I'm coming back to laser after a few years. Is this for me too?
Yes. A hair the laser once destroyed doesn't come back. Over time dormant follicles can wake up — that happens with any method. Then maintenance sessions are enough. If you complete a full course with us, they cost you 30% less.
Does it hurt?
The treatment is comfortable. On a 1–5 scale clients usually feel 2–3: like a light micro-current or the snap of a small rubber band. Feel any discomfort — say so, and Diana will adjust the settings right away.
Do you treat men too?

Can laser hair removal cause cancer?
No. The laser uses infrared light at 808 and 940 nm — non-ionising radiation (ICNIRP). It doesn't carry enough energy to damage the DNA in your cells, the way X-rays and sunbed UV do. The light hits the pigment in the hair follicle a few millimetres under the skin and turns into heat. A review of research on lasers and IPL found no evidence of a credible cancer risk (Lasers in Medical Science, 2017). I cover moles with white paste, and any mark that worries you gets checked by a dermatologist first.
