The price for men is higher because the area treated and the amount of hair are usually greater, meaning more work — and in our experience, men's skin also tends to be more sensitive, which calls for a more careful approach.
Which applicator do we use on underarms?
Underarms aren't a clear-cut case when it comes to choosing an applicator. For most people, the XL head (10 cm², the largest on the market) works well — it covers the whole area quickly and evenly. For deeper underarm hollows, where the XL head doesn't sit against the skin effectively, we switch to the S head — smaller, but concentrated, delivering a higher energy density over a small area. The choice is made individually during the consultation, for the best possible result.
You don't have to endure pain to see results — the result will be achieved either way, just comfortably. Typically 6–8 sessions. Early in the series, appointments are spaced 4–6 weeks apart. The intervals above apply to the start of the series. After roughly the 3rd session, we stop following a fixed weekly grid — from then on we work according to how the hair actually regrows, because everyone's hair growth cycle is different and can't be predicted week-to-week in advance. We will not treat freshly tanned skin, and some medications or skin conditions in the area rule the session out. We check all of it at the free consultation before your first treatment — we ask about medication, tanning, skin condition and dermatological history, and only set the laser parameters after that conversation.
