How to prepare for laser hair removal
To help your treatment be comfortable, safe and as effective as possible, it is important to prepare your skin properly.
Laser hair removal contraindications4 weeks before treatment
Do not remove hair from the root:
- wax
- sugaring
- epilator
- tweezers
At least 7 days before treatment
Do not tan actively or use a tanning bed.
If the area is exposed — use SPF every day.
A fresh tan increases the risk of irritation, burns and pigmentation.
12–24 hours before treatment
Shave the treatment area thoroughly with a razor.
On the day of treatment
Your skin should be:
- clean
- dry
- free of cream
- free of oils
- free of alcohol-based deodorant on the treatment area
- free of antiperspirant
Before treatment
Tell your specialist if you take medication, have tanned recently, have had cosmetic treatments, have skin irritation or have applied any cream.
Well-prepared skin is the foundation for a better result and a more comfortable treatment.
