Where your underwear or swimsuit ends. At the consultation I'll show you the borders of the area and we'll set them together — based on the underwear you wear most.

Usually 6–8. Most people see a difference in the amount of hair after 1–2 sessions.

4–5 weeks between the 1st and 2nd session, 6–7 between the 2nd and 3rd, about 8 between the 3rd and 4th, then 2–3 months and less often. We time it to how your hair actually grows back.

It's comfortable: on a 1–5 scale clients usually feel a 2–3 — like a light micro-current, the snap of a rubber band or gentle pinpricks. 360° cooling chills the skin with every pulse, and if you feel uncomfortable, I adjust the settings right away.

No. The laser cools the skin with every pulse, and I set it by how you feel: on a 1–5 scale we work at 2–3. You don't have to endure anything to get results.

For the classic bikini I only work on the mound and along the underwear line. You can stay in disposable underwear or a pareo, and if you'd be more comfortable, I leave the room while you change. Ask anything — nobody comments or judges here.

Yes, if the area is shaved, there are no contraindications and there's time in the schedule. You can also come just to talk — the consultation is free and there's no obligation.

Rarely, and only small ones. Sometimes a hair on its way out gets stuck in the follicle opening — a tiny dot appears and goes away on its own. Keep the area clean for the first day and do a gentle peel a few days later.

Blond and light brown hair with pigment comes off well. Not sure about yours? At the free consultation I'll do a few test pulses set for your hair, and over 2–4 weeks you watch whether it falls out — falling out is the sign the laser works. Grey, red and very light hair doesn't respond to laser.

Yes, you can have the treatment. With PCOS and other hormonal conditions new hairs can appear more often, so the course may be longer and maintenance visits more frequent. We'll plan it together at the consultation.

A period isn't a contraindication — we can work with a tampon or move the visit. We cover a mole with white paste and skip it with the laser.

No. We don't treat during pregnancy — you can come back to your course after giving birth.

No. The laser uses infrared light at 808 and 940 nm — non-ionising radiation (ICNIRP). It doesn't carry enough energy to damage the DNA in your cells, the way X-rays and sunbed UV do. The light hits the pigment in the hair follicle a few millimetres under the skin and turns into heat. A review of research on lasers and IPL found no evidence of a credible cancer risk (Lasers in Medical Science, 2017). I cover moles with white paste, and any mark that worries you gets checked by a dermatologist first.
