A full back for men is 499 zł per session, for women 399 zł. The 4+1 package is 1,996 zł (399.20 zł per session), the 6+2 package 2,994 zł (374.25 zł per session). For women, the 6+2 package is 2,394 zł. You can pay for a package in 2 instalments.

The whole back of the torso: from the top of the buttocks to the base of the neck, including the back of the shoulders, and at the sides to about the middle of the torso. The front and sides of the shoulders are a separate area (shoulders, 199 zł), and so are the nape and hairline (139 zł). I'll show you the borders at the consultation.

Usually 6–8. Most often you'll see less hair after just 1–2 sessions. Exactly how many depends on your hair and hormones, which is why we book the next session by actual regrowth, not in advance.

Sometimes, but a course is usually 6–8 sessions. After 3–5 the back is often almost smooth — that's halfway: the next sessions catch the hairs that were dormant before, which is what makes the result last for years. When there's hardly any hair left, we tell you straight — we don't add sessions for the sake of it.

Yes. The treated hairs fall out on their own over 7–21 days and grow back sparser and slower. Most often you'll see a clear difference after 1–2 sessions.

It can for a while. Even with full XL coverage, hair comes back in patches — not every hair is in the growth phase, and each follicle has its own rhythm. You can see it in Marysia's photo. It evens out by the end of the course.

No. The laser works on hairs that are in the growth phase on the day of the session. The rest are resting and wake up a few weeks later — that's the next batch, not a failure. That's why a course is 6–8 sessions. So we don't judge the result on the day of your visit — we invite you exactly when the next batch has grown in. We judge it at peak smoothness, about 3 weeks after a session: if you stay smooth longer than before the course, or the hair grows back finer, lighter and sparser, the laser is working. Our guarantee is based on the same check.

For years. A hair the laser has destroyed won't grow back. With age, men can get new hair, for example on the shoulders, from follicles that only grow fine fuzz today. Then a maintenance visit is enough: after a full course with us it's 30% cheaper.

At first every 8–10 weeks, then less often: 10–12 weeks, about 3 months, 3–4 months. We set the date by how your hair actually grows back.

The laser itself takes 10–15 minutes, the whole visit about 20 minutes — thanks to the XL 10 cm² handpiece. The first visit, with the free consultation, takes a little longer.

No problem. Tick shaving when you book, and I'll shave your back before the session for 50 zł with a good multi-blade razor. If you shave yourself: with a razor, 3–12 hours before the visit, no wax, cream or epilator.

It's comfortable: on a 1–5 scale clients usually feel a 2–3 — like a light micro-current, the snap of a rubber band or gentle pinpricks. 360° contact cooling cools the skin with every pulse, and I set the laser separately for each part of the back. Feel any discomfort — say so, and I'll adjust it right away.

No. The laser cools your skin with every pulse, and I set it to how you feel: on a scale of 1 to 5 we work at a 2–3. You don't have to grit your teeth to get results.

Yes, I do every treatment myself — I'm Diana, the only specialist at LASERRIX. I work with men regularly: back, chest, beard, bikini. For the session you take off your T-shirt and lie face down. No comments, no judgement — ask about anything.

No. The laser uses infrared light at 808 and 940 nm — non-ionising radiation (ICNIRP). It doesn't carry enough energy to damage the DNA in your cells, the way X-rays and sunbed UV do. The light hits the pigment in the hair follicle a few millimetres under the skin and turns into heat. A review of research on lasers and IPL found no evidence of a credible cancer risk (Lasers in Medical Science, 2017). I cover moles with white paste, and any mark that worries you gets checked by a dermatologist first.

For the back — laser. Wax removes hair for 2–4 weeks and you have to grow it out every time, while laser reduces the amount of hair with every session, for years. You can shave between laser sessions, but don't wax — it pulls out the hair together with the laser's target.

Shaving and cream work for a few days, wax for a few weeks. For years — only a laser course: usually 6–8 visits, then an occasional maintenance visit. At LASERRIX a full back is 10–15 minutes of laser.

Hormones and genes. In some men, the follicles on the back and shoulders turn fine fuzz into thick, dark hair with age — so you can get more hair over the years. Laser removes the hair that's growing now. If new hair appears later, a maintenance visit is enough.

If you shave your back or ask someone for help — yes. Fifteen minutes every few weeks during the course instead of shaving every couple of days, and from our practice there are fewer bumps on the back after the course too. If you see no difference after 3 sessions, we refund you.

With ingrown hairs — yes: when there's less hair and it's thinner, it has nowhere to grow in. From our practice, there are fewer bumps on the back after the course too. It's not an acne treatment — with active acne see a dermatologist first, and we work around inflamed spots.

It's a course of 6–8 sessions, not one visit, and laser won't remove grey, red or very light hair. Your back has to be shaved before every session — if you can't reach, we'll shave it for 50 zł. No tanning your back for at least 7 days before a session.

Light redness and warmth for a few hours — a normal reaction to the treatment. I choose the settings for your skin and hair, and we check contraindications (a fresh tan, photosensitising medication, skin changes in the area) at the free consultation. That's fine. We cover moles with white paste or a pencil and work around tattoos — the laser doesn't go over them. Show a mole that's changing to a dermatologist first.

Blond and light brown hair with pigment — yes, with good results. Not sure about yours? At the free consultation I'll do a few test pulses, and for 2–4 weeks you watch whether the hair falls out — shedding is the sign the laser works. Grey, red and very light hair doesn't respond to laser.

Work — straight away. Put off the gym, pool and sauna for 24–48 hours, and keep your back out of the sun for 7–14 days. All aftercare tips →

Rarely, and only small ones. Sometimes a shedding hair gets stuck at the opening of the follicle and leaves a tiny dot that clears on its own. Keep the area clean for the first 24 hours and use a gentle scrub after a few days. And don't plan a long journey in the first 24 hours where the area will rub.
